Kelyeah: Treehouse of Awesomeness

Starzy had his camera out, hiding underneath some bushes as his camera poked out to film a passing creature. He had recognized Aine from the petting zoo, but decided that filming its behavior would be a lot more interesting than just returning him.

they lep down from one of the spotlights they had aimed at a small patch of grass. In fact all of the spotlights points at the same spot. Aine lays down on their back as they messed with a tangled mess of string lights. The stain glass reflects all kinds of colors on the grass

Luksei was happening around the area with a big box filled with colored, full-size lightbulbs for some of the signs, when he saw what was going on with the spotlights and decided to try and investigate the weird stained-glass doggo. "What a magnifascinating little creature. Pspspspspspsps!"

Aine lifts its head at the sound with one end of the cord in its mouth. stareing for a moment before going back to efficiently untangling the mess

Luksei decided he would have to get those string lights back somehow, and so decided to walk over with some of the old bulbs and offer them up as he tried taking away the string lights.

They stood up for a moment still holding the cord in its mouth and paw. with the other they reach out to try and take the offered bulbs. intending to keep both

Luksei tied the cord to his sleeve so there was no way it could get pulled away from him, after he'd given up the bulbs, and then attempted to take the string lights.

This Lucent-Catcher stands its ground. only daring to tug against Luksei slightly as they carefully unlatches the lock on its lantern and tries set the bulbs inside (edited)

Luksei just tugged back, having tied his sleeve up so that tugging only made the bond tighter. "I need these string lights back, please."

Once the bulbs were safe they grabbed more of the cord. They begin tugging more vigorously. shaking their head and all. The string light flickered ever so slightly

Luksei was, due to his low weight, quite easily slung around. "AAAIIIEEEEE!"

They just kept running untill they had a idea. they began weaving around a pole. Essentially tieing him to the pole. Aine then goes for the larger box of bulbs left unattended during their match of tug of war. well more like flying Luksei like a kite

By then, Fayde had found the box, and was busy picking it up when he saw the creature approaching. "Oh dear... good doggy..."

Noticeing Fayde they dig their claws into the ground in a attempt to come to a stop. But to no avail as they collide. Sending the bulbs into the air (edited)

Racing through on his mono-unicycle, Dayle hopped off to grab each bulb as it fell out of the air, juggling them while Fayde got up to grab them out of the juggle and put them into the box. Bystanders were applauding the impromptu show, laughing as Fayde panicked to grab all the bulbs and Luksei tried to escape the string light bondage.

The Lucent-Catcher sat up shook off the dirt that was kicked up. Looking around they opend their mouth slightly to form a smile. They slowly slink off somewhere

Ooh, there was a light bulb sitting in the grass next to one of the tents! And another behind it! And another! In fact, there was a whole trail of bulbs leading off somewhere...

they tilted their head slightly before following the trail. Stopping to collect a few of them on the way.

Waiting at the end of the trail was Vertigo, a big Medlian with a wide, wide grin on his face. "There you are, little thing. Tell me, would you like to have yourself a lifetime supply of delicious lights, glass, and fabrics?"

they look up at them blankly not really knowing how to feel about that offer. It sounded too good. They sit down and roll a bulb around with its paw. Showing some interest

"Here's an idea. I want you to go ahead and pull down the old string lights, and I'll let you gobble them all up. Then, if you help put up the new lights, you can have that whole box of big lights, sound good?" Vertigo even went in for some friendly head scritches.

They nodded before setting the bulbs down in a neat pile. They hold out their paws expecting to be given a spool of lights to replace the old ones with (edited)

"You should probably use that strand of lights that you tied up our prop designer with..." Vertigo looked back over to Luksei, who was trying to convince a passing squirrel to free him. The squirrel didn't seem to be listening.

they turned back and nodded before quickly walking off. A few minutes later Aine ran back twards vertigo and scarfed up the bulbs they left behind. Now they continue off for real this time they stopped infront of Luksei. Slowly walking around to start untieing him. With a final tug hes set free... and briefly spun around like a top. Lucent-Catcher started to wrap up the lights. They drape them around its neck and began climbing up one of the poles (edited)

While Luksei spun off to who-knows-where, the lights were now getting hung up, which caught the attention of a few passing circus-goers as they watched curiously. The old lights were still hung up, however, and still needed to come down.

With the old strand of lights acting as a tight rope Lucent-Catcher got to the end. Now that the old strand is unplugged and the new lights plugged in, Aine slides down and slurps up the old lights like a really long noodle. Striding happily on all fours. The lights pulse warmly despite having no power

As Lucent-Catcher got to the end of the strand, Luksei and Fayde were applauding the hard work. Dayle walked over to give the creature some well deserved headpats. "Good work! Are you gonna be working with us then? We could use the extra help. You can even get your own little tent!"

They lean into his touch and think about it. A tent would be something Aine could decorate with all kinds of cozy lighting. They eventually nod in agreement

"Alright... Fayde, can you put together the paperwork for a new circus member? And Luksei, we'll need a new tent in the staff area! I'll get our new staff member all cleaned up." The others did a silly little salute before rushing off to help, leaving Dayle with Lucent. "Alright, how about we get you cleaned up and presentable? As the resident makeup expert, I assure you, you cannot go wrong with a little Dayle work~"

they tillt their head before attempting to see themselves in a nearby reflection. Thinking they look fine despite the dirt and a few knots in their fur

Just then, an unaware circus-faring kid ran through a nearby mud puddle, splashing poor Lucent-Catcher on the way to the merry-go-round. Not so clean now.

The Lucent-Catcher jumps onto their hind legs and the bulbs in their lantern light up bright. They frose for a moment looking down at themselves. Shaking their paws with disgust the ligh fades out (edited)

"No worries, I assure you, you'll love how you'll look when I'm done with you." Dayle came along and attempted to pick up Aine so he could get them cleaned off at the makeup tent.

Not expecting to be picked up they wrapped their tail around Dayle as they thrashed for a moment. Now fully in the air they froze and just stared at the ground with pure bewilderment

Dayle grinned, hurrying Aine to the makeup tent before setting them down gently. He reached into a nearby pile of junk to get a washbasin out, then hurried outside for a moment to drag a hose inside. "Here we go, we're gonna get you all nice and washed up..."

As Dayle went to get the hose Aine immediately started to rumage through the pile. They dropped whatever they grabbed and sat down avoiding eye contact
